Our friends at SEO/Marketing agency iThink Media invited us to capture the buzz and excitement at the rebrand party for their client, Antler, the British firm behind 100 years' worth of luggage design and production.
With the company recently having undergone a major transformation that's included the recruitment of a fresh team of crack designers, we were at their new London HQ to capture the event and find out more about the thinking behind the brand's stylish makeover and its arresting new product lines - as well as those all important plans for the future.

The National Trust / Heritage
Two of Britain's most cherished and distinguished organisations have got together in recent years to promote the centuries-old art of silversmithing.
As part of the initiative, Spot was commissioned to make a film that promoted the 'Studio Silver Today' campaign featuring rising star artist silversmith, Miriam Hanid. Location shoots took place at Ickworth House in Suffolk, the city of London and coastal East Anglia.
Our finished film, (an edited version is shown here), was featured at Ickworth House throughout the spring/summer season of 2012 where Miriam was in attendance, working in front of the public, producing a specially commissioned piece that celebrated both silversmithing and Ickworth itself. We employed use of the latest DSLR cinema style photography to show the magnificent locations in all their glory.
We were delighted to be asked to return and do the honours again for the 2014 campaign. We look forward to sharing the results of that project in the near future.
You can view the full-length version of the 2012 campaign video here.

Mothercare / Retail
It shouldn't come as a surprise to learn that one of the UK's most recognisable and well established retailers understands the valuable role that video plays in connecting with customers. Check out their YouTube channel: it boasts over 1000 videos!
We were delighted to be asked to create some fresh content for their collection which included an introductory video for their own brand flagship travel system - the very stylish Xpedior - and a guide for new parents pondering the interminable question of which pushchair to buy.

Blue Chip + Agencies
We regularly work with Blue Chip clients either directly or through first class agencies. The kind of content that we create for them can vary enormously - from event coverage to event openers, animation, profiles, internal messaging, documentary style insight videos to 'how to's and promos. That kind of variation keeps us on our toes - a good thing! - and we love working closely with like-minded passionate creatives and visionaries regardless of whether they're corporate or agency-based.
We're also used to working on projects where confidentiality is key. So, in order to view our selection of videos in this section, you'll require a password for access. No big deal: just drop us a line and we'll send it to you after which you'll be able to key it in here and take a look at what we've been up to.
Wood Green / Charity
Wood Green, The Animals Charity, rehomes thousands of animals in need every year. In addition to this, the charity provides first class veterinary care for animals in their care and expert advice for pet owners across the UK. The charity has developed a proactive social media strategy in which video plays a crucial role.
Spot Reels has produced a wide variety of videos for the charity during the past few years, from retrospectives, campaign and fundraising videos and another that included a unique introduction to the charity's new state of the art veterinary facility.
We also developed and produced from scratch an arresting flagship videoas well as four animated information videos for pet owners for one of the charity's public awareness campaigns . Spot Reels advised on and administered a linked video seeding campaign for the project ensuring a healthy 20,000+ YouTube views for the featured videos.
We've continued to create useful video content for the charity in 2013 including the video you can see on this page that promotes the work of their amazing team of volunteers.

High achieving schools can no longer rely on reputation alone if they want to consistently attract suitable students and parents. As a result, they've had to start marketing themselves like never before.
Slick prospectuses, websites and specialist events are all part of the landscape these days but online video offers a very cost-effective and powerful way for schools to strengthen their marketing. Professionally produced video engages like no other form of web content and allows prospective parents and students to connect with schools or colleges in a matter of seconds.
Here are two examples of videos we've completed for clients in this sector. In both cases, our aim was to give potential students - and their parents - a clear insight into the uniqueness of the schools in question. We loved working on both projects but are very pleased to again be helping the team at St.Chris create some fresh video content for their 2014 marketing campaign. We look forward to sharing the results of that soon.
Established in 1971, Brain Research Trust is an umbrella charity for research into conditions of the brain and the nervous system. To date it has funded some £40m worth of important research carried out by the UCL Institute of Neurology which is based in central London. This work has helped the scientific research community move closer to understanding how to cure conditions such as Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, Epilepsy, Brain Tumours and Motor Neurone Disease to name but a few.
We were thrilled to get involved with the charity and help produce a video that was to play an important role in their 2013 fundraising campaign. The video seen here was designed to play to potential donors on ipads with a view to ensuring their long-term retention. The challenge was tricky: tell the story of someone who had benefited from research funded by the charity in just 45 seconds. No voiceover allowed. And it needs to pack an emotional punch. Judging by the results of the campaign, we think we got it right.
We're looking forward to creating other useful video content for the charity in 2014.

La Colombe / Property
Situated in the heart of one of Europe's premier ski resorts - Courchevel 1850 - 'La Colombe' is the ultimate escape for well heeled skiing fanatics. We were asked to capture both the unique atmosphere of the town as well as the first class facilities and luxurious splendour on offer at the chalet itself.
The video is being used to actively ensure consistent rentals of the property throughout the ski season and if the 2012-13 season is anything to go by, it seems to have done the trick as it was booked out for the whole season. Result!
Barracudas are the UK's top Activity Day Camps for Children with 29 summer camps across the south east providing a dazzling array of fun, exciting and safe activities for kids aged 4 to 16 years old.
Already firm believers in the importance of video as part of their marketing strategy, we were asked to create some fresh vibrant content for the brand with a series of tantalising promos for each of the key year groups they cater for as well as videos aimed at parents - from testimonials to some useful and practical informational videos.
A huge part of the Barracudas success story is down to the high calibre younger members of staff they employ to help run the clubs each season. With that in mind, we were also asked to create some videos to help attract new recruits and deliver key tips to those already employed by the company.
We probably had the most fun you could ever expect to have on a shoot with these guys. We think it shows!
TAG specialise in renovating character properties to a very high standard. We've created a number of videos for them over the years that have regularly been used as part of the marketing strategy for individual projects. Each video has been crafted to highlight the strong aesthetics and luxurious features of each development as well as underline the company's fastidious and ambitious approach to property development.
We've thoroughly enjoyed creating a wide variety of video content for Wood Green, the Animals Charity during the past few years. However, we were especially thrilled to be handed the task of creating a series of videos for the charity's nationwide Pet Safety/Fireworks Awareness campaign ('Safe and Sound') in 2012.
We came up with a creative concept for the campaign's flagship video in addition to four animated informational videos and were given the responsibility of producing all five videos within a tight schedule and budget. We also managed a viral seeding campaign to ensure strong visibility of the flagship video to key target audiences in the run up to the UK firework season.
All five videos were viewed some 20000 times on the charity's YouTube channel and website with healthy amounts of sharing via twitter and facebook along with some welcome celebrity endorsements. The series will be promoted every autumn for some years to come as part of Wood Green's remit to educate the general public on animal welfare and safety. In other words, a little video can go a long, long way!
We like doing great work for charities. It keeps us grounded and happy. It's especially nice when you get the chance to create something for a smaller charity that, like so many other similar causes, struggles to be heard.
Kids in Need, (not to be confused with Children in Need), has been around for some thirty years quietly helping hundreds of unfortunate children with terminal illness and multiple disabilities by granting them 'wishes'. These can vary enormously and range from meeting personalities from the worlds of entertainment and sport, sponsoring holidays and purchasing toys and specially adapted learning aids and sensory equipment. They do their very best to try and make life just a little bit easier for the children in question - and their families.
We were chuffed to be asked to help the charity out by creating a video for airing at their annual high profile fundraiser. As happens sometimes with the work we do, getting involved in this project took us on a bit of an amazing journey. We got to meet some incredible people and hear their stories of anguish, triumph and everything in between. You could say it's a project that's stayed with us.
Whilst the video you see here had the desired effect on its audience at the fundraiser, we're currently in the process of introducing the Kids in Need team to the wonders of social media as a means of exploiting what we've created for them to increase public awareness of the charity and ensure future funding. Wish us all luck.
